Using LazyPay

How does Part Payment work and what are the charges?

Part payment gives you the option to make a partial payment of your bill and carry forward the remaining amount. If you get an option to pay a partial amount on the app, this feature is activated for you. Here’s how it works:

You can pay a minimum amount due, or any amount lesser than the total due, and carry forward the remaining amount.

The minimum amount due is 5% of total due amount as per your statement or Rs. 500, whichever is higher.

The remaining amount is then added to the next billing cycle with 1.5% carry forward interest charges on the outstanding balance due.

The 1.5% interest is separate from the late fees. If you have a pending bill, and if you haven’t made any payment at all, you will be charged both the late fee and a carry forward interest. If you pay at least the minimum amount due before the due date, you will only be charged the carry forward interest.

What are the late fees for users who have access to part payment and UPI on LazyPay?

Users who have done their KYC get access to features like part payment of bills and the ability to use credit through UPI. These features let you spend more through LazyPay. Hence, the late fee structure reflects your usage of LazyPay credit. Depending on your bill amount, you will be charged as per the late fee structure below.

Bill up to Rs. 199 – No late fee

Bill from Rs. 199 to Rs. 499 – Late Fee of Rs. 50

Bill from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,999 – Late Fee of Rs. 100

Bill from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 4,999 – Late Fee of Rs. 150

Bill from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 9,999 – Late Fee of Rs. 300

Bill from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 24,999 – Late Fee of Rs. 400

Bill more than Rs. 25,000 – Late Fee of Rs. 500

The fee is applied once in 15 days. That means if you got charged on the 19th, you will be charged again on the 4th of next month.

This fee will be charged if you don’t make any payment at all on or before the due date(3rd and 18th of every month). In case you make a part payment before the due date, late fees will not be applied.

A GST of 18% will be applied on the above mentioned amounts. The late fee amount is separate from the carry forward interest of 1.5% which is applicable as well.
